Stress On Mommas

Here's Why We've Been Talking About Babies

Jake and Zoe are pregnant.

So we love seeing babies in our practice.

It's one of the funniest parts of our day is to be able to see babies, but it's super important and special now because we got new babies coming into the family.

One thing that I shared with Jake is this, and that's that they did a study right after 9/11, and the study was based on the amount of stress that women were under during and directly after 9/11 and how that played a huge negative effect on the newborn babies, where there was a huge increase in the incidence of ADD, ADHD, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder seen in these young children.

So that stress that affects momma when she's pregnant affects who else?

The baby.

So we need to do our part.

It's also very stressful now for another reason, we know what that reason is, right, for the last two years.

But mommas can be under a lot of stress because of that, too, not to mention all the other stress in our society right now.

So it's super important that we take care of who?

Moms and their babies.

So whether you're husbands, friends, coworkers, do your best to help the pregnant mommas out there to reduce their emotional stress to the extent possible.
